You missed out!

If you live at the crossroads of unresolved trauma and chronic pain, we see you.

Chronic pain and trauma are tough, but life doesn't have to be. I am bringing together an amazing group of esteemed trauma/chronic pain informed providers and warriors alike for some important discussions around your physical and mental health.

Because...

  • Pain is one of the most commonly reported health concerns of patients with post-traumatic stress disorder.
  • A growing number of studies have shown that PTSD symptoms tend to be elevated in patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Chronic pain is reported in 20 to 80% of individuals with a history of trauma.
  • We live in an trauma and chronic pain uninformed society which means that crucial information on trauma and pain self care is just not being given to those who need it most.
  • Pain and trauma directly impact one another. You could be doing all.the.things to reduce your pain but If you're not addressing unresolved trauma your pain (and quality of life) will not improve.
  • Your life is not defined by your trauma nor is it by your pain.

Hello,

As a trauma informed chronic pain coach, educator and curator I am bringing together experts and warriors alike for some important conversations to support your path to recovery. I believe in the power of meaningful conversations as a catalyst to change.  For some, this is the place to begin. For others, it is the place to expand. Regardless of where you might be, you belong here at The Willow Tree.

What makes our summit special?

All pain, all trauma and the road to recovery are rooted in the Biopsychosocial model. This means that pain and trauma are equal parts biological, psychological and social in nature. This means to navigate and treat both pain and trauma, we need to understand how they impact each other thus serving the whole of you, not just your parts. This is why we are pulling together a multitude of speakers with extensive backgrounds to address the many layers of trauma and chronic pain.

Most importantly, I am bringing together the voices of not only pain and trauma informed providers but equally as important, the voices of the chronic pain warrior in our very special 'Conversations From The Couch' live sessions where we discuss their a-ha moments and key learnings from the summit.

  • 18 Expert Interviews
  • 5 Live Sessions
  • Conversations From The Couch - conversations with chronic pain warriors on their perspective of key learnings
  • Pop-Up Facebook Discussion Group
  • Symbolizes strength, flexibility, adaptability and reminds us we can thrive even in challenging conditions.
  • For some it represents loss but with the hope of retrieval.
  • For others, the willow symbolizes inner wisdom - an open mind with the stability and strength of age and experience.
  • Symbolizes resiliency

Why A Willow Tree?
